Coaches Expectations
Step 1
Download and Review the Coaches Handbook. This provides information regarding the program, stipends, and roles for the coaches and team managers.
Step 2
Review the AAHA Handbook for Managers as all Coaches should be aware of the major role their manager will play throughout the season.
Step 3
Review the AZYHL Policies and Play Rules. The Rules contain a lot of useful guidance and information about the league.
Step 4
Review the AAHA Policies and Procedures. The Bucks play in the Arizona Youth Hockey League (AZYHL) that is governed by USA Hockey and the Arizona Amateur Hockey Association (AAHA).
Step 5
Background Check: Coaches are required to complete a background check every year. Click the button below to begin the background check. This must be completed prior to the season start.
Step 6
SafeSport Training: Coaches are required to recertify with SafeSport every year. Click on the button below for SafeSport Training and Certification.
Step 7
Complete Coaching Modules: Coaches are required to complete the USA Hockey age-specific Coaching Module(s) for the age level(s) they will be coaching in the upcoming season.
Step 8
Complete the Commitment Letter: Execute the AAHA Commitment Letter online using a SportsEngine account and your USA Hockey number. Click on the button below to complete the non-monetary AAHA Commitment Letter.
