About Us

Mission statement

Use Hockey to develop character and grow student athletes to become better people.

Set the standard for the best team culture in Arizona Travel Hockey.

The Bucks Culture is a fun, family and team-oriented environment, centered around the physical and mental benefits provided through the incredible journey we call a hockey season. We offer a highly competitive Travel Hockey program in the Greater Phoenix Valley, but do not travel out of state to reduce time and costs burdens on families. We compete in local tournaments to reduce time away from our daily lives, and to reduce travel costs, yet still play nationally ranked teams from around the country. We wake up in our own beds during the holidays. We encourage multiple sports for our athletes. We understand everyone’s life situation is different and strive to provide a program that is built to accommodate everyone’s unique situation. We employ a Mentorship Program between older and younger players to facilitate growth, leadership, and positive experiences at all ages, both on and off the ice. In the end, we understand that our integrity (as both athletes and coaches) is defined by our actions and that competition and adversity do not build character, they reveal it. We strive to provide the best hockey experiences to players and parents, all the while elevating the kids to be the best people they can be.

ADHL Hockey Values

Sportsmanship - Be humble in victory, gracious in defeat.

Friendship - Promote friendship with teammates and opponents alike. The Bucks have a saying “Teammates today, Opponents tomorrow, Teammates the next day.”

Respect - Treat all others as you expect to be treated.

Integrity - Foster honesty and fair play.

Pursue Excellence - Each member of the organization, whether player, volunteer or staff, should seek to perform each aspect of the game to the highest level of his or her ability.

Fiscal transparency - Be upfront with Program costs to reduce undue stress and maintain a singularity in the program.

Enjoyment - Hockey should always be fun, satisfying and rewarding for all participants.

Teamwork - We value the strength of learning to work together. The use of teamwork is reinforced and rewarded by success in the hockey experience.

Expectations of Players - Play for fun. Work hard to improve your skills. Learn teamwork, sportsmanship, and discipline. Always be a good sport. Respect your coach, your teammates, your parents, opponents and officials.
